New feature: automated reports

As of today, automated and tailored market reports are available through the dashboard.

Registered users can request a report for the data corresponding to their search criteria. The dashboard automatically collects a suite of relevant indicators, packages it so that a large-language model (LLM) can parse it easily, and asks Deepseek (but it could be any other model) to write a three-part report about the evolution of the selected product based on the featured data.

Each report contains tables based on the dashboard data. Sections contain links that route back to the relevant dashboard view. In order to improve the accuracy and the plausibility of the report, numbers are cross-checked after generation. Reports that fail this check are discarded rather than published. Still, since the interpretation itself is machine-generated, it cannot be assumed to be fully reliable. Instead, it should be treated as a guide to browse through the data and build your own analysis faster.

For all the chapters of the Combined Nomenclature, as well as for the most frequently looked-up headings, standard reports are pre-generated. They cover the period 2015-2025, and are useful to give you a rough outlook of the main trade patterns for the related sector. These reports might already suffice for most users. However, I noticed that some of the most intensive users of the dashboard have very narrow and specific interests. Thus, I thought that those users might be happy to get their own, on-demand reports.

Technically speaking, users need to go to their user account, save one of their recent searches, and switch to the "Saved searches" tab. There, a "Get report" button is available. LLM-generation is not instant. It takes around three to five minutes. Thus, reports are not immediately displayed, but sent by email. The full report is attached as a PDF, a private link is included, as well as a short summary. That link is unlisted by default. It will not appear on Google unless the user shares it publicly elsewhere.

I can already think of several potential improvements to this report-generation feature:
