About

About this tool

This website lets you explore the European Union's merchandise trade flows using Eurostat's official COMEXT database (DS-045409). You can analyse imports and exports by product, trading partner, EU member state, and time period.

Data source

The data presented on this site is public. It comes directly from Eurostat .

COMEXT (trade) data is downloaded from Eurostat once a month, and PRODCOM (industrial production) data once a year. This corresponds to the Eurostat update schedule.

Official EU websites

The European Commission offers two websites that allow data to be extracted from COMEXT:

This site offers a more modern, comprehensive, and accessible interface than these official sites. The underlying data is exactly the same. You can verify this website's data against Eurostat's own API here.

Translations

The site interface is available in English, French and German. The translations of customs codes are official. They are published by the Commission itself. Your feedback on the site interface is welcome.

Your data privacy

The website does not share any personal data with third-party services, and the only cookies used are essential to the functioning of the site (login and language). There is therefore no cookie banner.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, instantly and permanently. If you run into a problem, please contact me. Finally, under the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
